For Serving
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish with baking spray or butter and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Toss until the apples are evenly coated, then transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the topping. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs with some pea-sized pieces of butter.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the filling. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the topping is golden and crisp and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Let the crumble cool for about 15 minutes before serving. Scoop into bowls, top with Belfonte Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and enjoy!
